Another MMSC Delivered to Finnish Network

Wiral has delivered a Multimedia Messaging Service Center, MMSC, to Alands Mobiltelefon, the mobile operator in the Aland islands, Finland. The MMS service is available for Alands Mobiltelefon Ab customers in the beginning of December 2002.

Wiral MMS delivery to Alands Mobiltelefon includes the complete Wiral Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC) with Wiral WAP Gateway, Wiral Push Proxy Gateway, Wiral SMS Gateway, Wiral OTA manager, Wiral Media Converter, Email gateway and Wiral Terminal Gateway. The messages are also delivered as HTML emails that include the Wiral SMIL Player, the recipients see and hear the MMS slide show as intended by the sender. The delivered system includes MM7 interface for VAS and MM4 interface for inter-operator MMS connectivity. In addition Wiral provides system implementation, integration and care services to maintain the competitiveness of the MMS solution.

The Aland Islands is an autonomous province of Finland consisting of a group of islands in the Baltic Sea between Finland and Sweden. The population is about 26,000 people."
