Ukraine Gets MMS

Nokia and Ukrainian Mobile Communications (UMC) have introduced the complete Nokia MMS package to the Ukrainian market - the first of its kind in the country. The service is initially available for UMC target customers now and for the wider audience in early 2003. UMC conducted the first public MMS call in Ukraine last Friday.

Nokia MMS deliveries to UMC include the Nokia Multimedia Messaging Center (MMSC) and the Nokia Multimedia Terminal Gateway. In addition Nokia provides system implementation, integration and care services to maintain the competitiveness of the MMS solution.

UMC currently has 1,535,000 subscribers.."
