The adult media group, Private Media has launched a new service which uses SMS as the main method of customer interaction and mobile commerce. With Private Stars, customers can pay to receive personalised adult themed text messages from Private's most popular stars and obtain a unique code via SMS to access the new portal, which offers high quality pictures, SMS content and videos of the featured Private Girls. The service will initially be available in the UK, with other countries to be added in the near future.

To access Private Stars, customers text a star's name to a dedicated phone number, which appears in Private publications and product inserts as well as in external marketing campaigns. Within seconds, customers receive a short series of personal text messages on their mobile from their star-of-choice and are then sent a special code to access the Private Stars portal for a limited time.
