Moldavian Network Upgrades to CDMA2000 1X

Interdnestrcom, the CDMA network operator of the Dniester Moldavian Republic, and Lucent Technologies have declared completion of modernization of the legacy IS-95 network to CDMA2000 1X. The expansion has been completed in the city of Tiraspol. Lucent originally deployed the CDMA network in Tiraspol in 1999.

"We are glad, that with the help of decisions of Lucent Technologies JSC "Interdnestrcom" can offer subscribers the service, capable to change existing comprehension about possibilities of mobile communication", - Dmitry Kamensky, general director Lucent Technologies in Russia and the CIS said: "the Mobile phone with functions of high-speed data transmission irrespective of a site of subscribers will open them access to those services which they have got used to receive on the fixed line at home or in the office".'"
