Portuguese 3G Network Signs OSS Contract
Portugal's 3G license holder, OniWay has selected MetaSolv Software's Mobility Product Suite as the core of its Operational Support System (OSS) infrastructure. OniWay is using the entire Mobility Suite including MetaSolv's Inventory Management, Order Management, Service Activation, Policy Services and Network Mediation for its launch of third generation mobile services in Portugal.
"The MetaSolv Mobility Product Suite provides us with a distinct competitive advantage in a crowded marketplace, enabling us to efficiently automate key business processes for our next-generation services rollout, and flexibly bill for new services, allowing us to achieve a faster return on investment," said Rui Santos Cruz, Service Provisioning Platforms manager, OniWay.
OniWay plans to launch a broad range of advanced mobile service offerings by the end of 2002, including traditional GSM-based voice services, high-speed Internet, multi-media messaging, m-commerce, and location and content-based services.'"
