Czech Networks Unify to Develop Mobile Banking System

The three main Czech Republic mobile operators and the five most important banks in the country have founded the Mobile Payment Association. The aim of the MPA is to develop and support a unified system for mobile phone payments, thus boosting the development of mobile financial services. This will provide the Czech public with access to a simple, safe, and universal method for making purchases via mobile phones. The MPA says that the system will be usable not only in the Czech Republic, but also through roaming abroad.
