Improved Screensaver for the Nokia 7650

The Symbian software developer, PsiLOC has launched a Beta release screensaver for the Nokia 7650 handset. In an age when customizable screensavers are almost the norm on Nokia handsets, the phone only comes with a basic clock bar that moves on the screen for its screensaver.

The screensaver offers users additional options including a bouncy clock, a slide show and a bouncing ball.

The company has also developed several other applications that enhance the handset - including a task manager, additional profiles that can be set to switch automatically at a preset time and probably most usefully for regular flyers - a "flight mode" inspired by the same feature in the Nokia Communicators - allowing the phone to be switched on, but with the cell phone element disabled.'"
