Hutchison Signs National Roaming Agreement in Austria

Telekom Austria Group's mobile subsidiary Mobilkom Austria has announced the details of a national roaming agreement it has signed with Hutchison 3G Austria. This agreement provides that Mobilkom Austria's A1 network will be available for future Hutchison customers for GSM telephony services as well as GSM/GPRS data services, thus catering for mobile communications services beyond UMTS coverage.
Hutchison is planning on offering 3G coverage at launch in the cities of Vienna, Graz and Linz.
Mobilkom Austria says that a decisive factor in the choice of its network as cooperation partner was the high quality and blanket coverage of the GSM network as well as the stability of the company. The financial terms of the agreement are not disclosed.'"
