Alcatel Signs Direct Distribution Deal in Fiji

Vodafone Fiji has signed an agreement to source mobile handsets direct from Alcatel and will work with Alcatel to promote the Alcatel brand phones. The presence of Alcatel in the Fiji market has been over the last 4 years but through 3rd party suppliers.

Liza Woods of Alcatel said, "It is encouraging for us to note that our mobile handsets are well accepted in Fiji as our market share has shown and we acknowledge the contribution that Vodafone has made to achieve this. This launch in partnership with Vodafone will no doubt reinforce and strengthen our position as we move forward"

Alcatel dominates the Fiji mobile handset market with approximately 75% of the market share.'"
