Yugoslavia to Get Premium Rate SMS Services
XIAM has said that Yugoslavia's ITV Multimedia is now using it's mobile messaging applications to launch SMSPlus, the country's first ever premium rate interactive SMS Service, to Telekom Serbia's customer base of over 1,000,000 subscribers.
ITV Multimedia is introducing a complete range of SMS-based value added services under the brand name SMSPlus. Initially SMSPlus will provide content services covering ringtones, logos, horoscopes, jokes, weather reports, etc. Future phases will include SMS chat and TV-related votes and competitions. The launch of the new services has been accompanied by an extensive advertising and media campaign that is helping to build strong brand awareness of the SMSPlus service.
Speaking on behalf of ITV Multimedia, Managing Director, Dragan Karadzic said, "We are delighted to be working with XIAM on this project and are very excited about the potential of SMSPlus. Expectations were high and we had to ensure that subscribers would not be disappointed. It was vital that we had 100% confidence in the technology and the necessary technical expertise required to carry out the deployment and I am delighted to say that XIAM has far exceeded these expectations on all levels. There is huge potential for the development and growth of the SMSPlus brand, and XIAM's product suite allows us the flexibility and scalability needed to evolve the service in line with demand from the market."'"
