The dual-band MGD-100 is scheduled to be launched in China in the third quarter of 2002, and later in Europe and South America, and will be sold under third party brand names. Key features of the MGD-100 include GPRS, WAP, games, 16-chord polyphonic ring tones, Personal Information Manager and infrared data transmission.

The managing director of Everkom, Yi Wonwoo, added: "Time-to-market is crucial if we are to compete successfully in today's high-tech markets. Wavecom provides us with stable, reliable and field proven state-of-the-art technology and full customer support. Our sales channels in China, Europe and the USA report excellent response to our planned telephones from potential buyers, and we are confident that this is the start of a long and mutually beneficial partnership with Wavecom."'"
