Sunrise Improves its SMS Services

Switzerland's Sunrise has deployed bmd wireless's Wireless Application Messaging Server in its core network infrastructure to enable a wide range of innovative SMS service offerings. The Wireless Application Messaging Server has been deployed in several networks including MTN, TeleDanmark (TDC), WIND, Monaco Telecom hosting service offerings for companies such as AOL and Microsoft.

"With the Wireless Application Messaging Server, sunrise is able to generate significant revenues, increase its corporate customer base and deploy new person-to-application services across all mobile networks. sunrise is the first operator in Switzerland to launch interactive based SMS services to all mobile users and exploit the inherent value of SMS by mobilizing other communication mediums," said Brian Rueger, Chief Operating Officer of bmd wireless.'"
