KDDI is currently providing telecommunications coverage in Myanmar in a partnership with SUMITOMO CORPORATION (Headquarters Chuo, Tokyo, President Kuniharu Nakamura, hereinafter "SUMITOMO") and Myanma Posts & Telecommunications (MPT).
KDDI is starting a long-term employee training and exchange program with the purpose of improving the techniques and skills of MPT employees, aiming for further improvement of telecommunications services quality to raise customer satisfaction in Myanmar. In the first term, four MPT employees (two technical and two business management) will be chosen to come to KDDI for approximately one year from July 2017 to June 2018.
In this program, after approximately three months of Japanese language study and basic lectures, technical trainees will undergo practical training at the hands of KDDI personnel active at the front line of the network design and development department, maintenance and operation department, and information system department, while business management trainees will study in the sales department, marketing department, and new services planning department.
This way, trainees can learn the high-quality Japanese network technology that KDDI has cultivated through many years of telecommunications services offered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and the knowledge and know-how of sales, marketing, and service planning acquired in a competitive environment, allowing them to further broaden their business horizons. After completing the program, the trainees will return to Myanmar and utilize the techniques, know-how, and business skills they learned in Japan to contribute to their home country's development.
KDDI will continue to contribute to the development of the economy and industry in Myanmar, as well as to improving the lives of its people living, while making efforts toward improving customer satisfaction through our partnership with SUMITOMO and MPT.
