Smartcom Updates its Backend Software

Intec Telecom and Logica have jointly sold Intec's Inter-mediatE solution to the CDMA operator, Smartcom PCS in Chile. Inter-mediatE enables telecoms companies to collect, process and distribute network traffic information to all other downstream systems, including billing.

Christian Ojeda Madrid, MIS development manager at Smartcom PCS said: "The Inter-mediatE solution is replacing Telconet from SchlumbergerSema. We have had some compatibility issues between our current system and our other IT solutions, and with Logica's help have conducted careful analyses of the Inter-mediatE product to ensure that it is the scalable and flexible solution we are looking for.
