Fujitsu Licenses Media Software for 3G Handsets
PacketVideo Japan has entered into a license agreement with Fujitsu to integrate it's mobilemedia playback technology into Fujitsu 3G mobile phones, currently under development. Based on the agreement, Fujitsu will integrate PacketVideo's pvPlayer 3 multimedia decoding software into its 3G mobile phones to provide users with high quality visual images and sound through the 3G network.

PacketVideo's pvPlayer decoding software is one component of the pv3 Mobilemedia System, a suite of interrelated and interoperating products that also include an encoding solution, pvAuthor; and a distribution system, pvServer. The system is compliant with mobilemedia standards from the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP and 3GPP2).'"
