RCom's CEO quits

The CEO of India's Reliance Communications has unexpectedly resigned from the company with immediate effect.
In a short statement, the company said that Vinod Sawhny stood down to enable him and his family to relocate to New Delhi for personal reasons.
William (Bill) Barney and Gurdeep Singh, who are already working with the company, will function as acting Co-CEOs of the company with immediate effect.
Bill Barney currently oversees the company's enterprise and carrier business, while Gurdeep Singh looks after the wirless division.
The surprise resignation comes at a critical time for the company, which is in the midst of a radio spectrum auction, and it seeking to absorb SSTL while forming a joint venture with Aircel.
