Older Ericsson Handset Gets MMS Software Upgrade

SonyEricsson is offering a software upgrade for owners of the Ericsson T68 to upgrade it to the T68i standard. The software upgrade appears to speed up some of the functionality of the handset as well as adding the new features that were launched in the i version of the handset. The main additions are support for CommuniCam, WAP 2.0, ring tone composer, a picture album, some new games (although you loose the "hidden games") and the ability to add text formatting such as bold and italics to SMS messages. The main addition is the provision of multimedia messaging, MMS to the handset.

The software upgrade is available now in Europe and Asia and should be made available in the Americas within the next few weeks. Owners of the T68 are advised to contact their local SonyEricsson service center to confirm that it has the necessary software to perform the upgrade.'"
