Austrian Network Selects Network Monitoring Software

Austria's GSM network, tele.ring has selected the network monitoring solution from NetTest to monitor its GSM and GPRS network. tele.ring has chosen a range of applications for masterQUEST, including the new Data Warehouse platform, to provide insight to its key decision makers. With masterQUEST, tele.ring will be able to optimise the use of its infrastructure, investigate and fix faults faster and ensure international roaming is available for users.

"It is very important to us to deliver high quality voice and data services at a competitive price," said Michael Goss, CTO, tele.ring. "masterQUEST allows us to continuously measure service quality network wide, and eliminates the costs and delays previously associated with travelling between sites to investigate problems. This is very important for us in order to maintain our existing business, and to offer new services."

"Being selected by tele.ring is very important for NetTest. tele.ring has an excellent reputation and we are very pleased to have met their demanding requirements. As part of the Western Wireless International Group, the experience we will gain from closely co-operating with tele.ring will enable us to develop additional innovative products," says Michael Rasmussen, Vice President, General Manager, Network Management Systems, NetTest. "masterQUEST is the only product to provide permanent, network wide visibility of GPRS and GSM performance and will also support the third generation UMTS networks."'"
