Huawei has announced a five year cooperation with the Technical University of Denmark and the University of Aalborg in Denmark.

As part of the educational program, the two universities will send the ten telecommunications students each year for the next five years on a three-week trip to China. This trip aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to develop their ICT skills and industry expertise, in addition to experiencing Chinese culture first-hand.

Ms. Sofie Carsten Nielsen, Danish Minister of Education and Science, said: "It is with great joy that I announce this cooperation between Huawei and two of our leading universities in Denmark, through which we will send approximately 50 Danish telecom students to China over the next five years."

The first 10 Danish students to participate in the "Telecom Seeds for the Future" program will travel to China in summer of 2014.

"We hope these students learn from their experience and go into the ICT sector workforce to contribute new idea," said Jim Lu, President of Central, Eastern & Nordic Europe, Huawei.
