Bluefish Wins African SIM Card Order

Bluefish Technologies has won a contract to supply SIM cards to a number of GSM networks in West Africa. Supplied through Scancom, part of the Investcom Group, which operates several networks in West and North Africa and the Middle East. Scancom who are based in Ghana own and run the Spacefon network and have taken on a purchasing role for several other Investcom networks choosing Bluefish as a partner for SIM card supply. Other networks include Spacetel in Guinea, Spacetel Benin, Spacetel Burundi and Lonestar Communications in Liberia.

Bluefish commitment to Africa began in 2000 with further investment signalled by the opening of offices in South Africa in 2001. Bluefish provide what is essentially a localised service to Scancom and in due course this could extend to application development for value added services and a range of fulfilment and packaging options.'"
