Bulgaria's Globul has awarded a contract to Huawei for its upcoming network swap project.
Globul and Huawei will partner for the full swap of the network - both 2G and 3G, replacement and upgrade of the company's access and backbone transport network as well as Globul core network including related services.
The agreement covers a five-year investment cycle and eight-year maintenance services period.
The network swap, planned to be completed during first half of 2015 is the largest in terms of reach and investment and the most ambitious by Globul since the company was acquired by Telenor Group in August 2013.
