Base Tests 250Mbps Download Speeds Over LTE-A Network

Belgian mobile network operator, Base says that it has carried out the country's first LTE A trials.
The tests performed today in Hasselt, together with ZTE, used the 2x20Mhz Carrier Aggregation. combined with MiMo 2x2 technology, allowing maximum speeds up to 300Mbps.
"Even this is still a test phase, we clearly see the advantages for our customers: this LTE-Advanced tests show data speeds over 250Mbps. For the customer, that means a 10 MB file is downloaded in less than one second, compared to 90 seconds 2,5 years ago", explains Suzanne Kelder CTO of BASE Company.
Since 2012 ZTE has been the exclusive 3G and 4G radio supplier to Base.
