Sony Shows Off New Xperia Smartphone

Sony Mobile has shown off its newest flagship smartphone the waterproof Xperia Z2 which it said will go on sale as soon as next month.
The phone comes with a 20.7 megapixel camera that has been matched with 1/2.3-type Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor, Sony's G Lens and BIONZ for mobile image processing engine.
The video facility can now record in full 4k resolution (3840×2160 pixels/30p) -- or four times the detail of Full HD.
The Xperia Z2 also has a slimmer and more comfortable feel that its predecessor by having the glass panels encased in a single, solid aluminium frame with smoother edges.
The processor is a quad-core 2.3Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon model. It is presumed to be Android based, although curiously the company didn't say that.
The estimated retail price was also not confirmed.
