Struggling smartphone manufacturer HTC thinks that a free replacement screen if one breaks will help boost its sales in the USA.
So, the company says that for its One family of smartphones, it will offer a free one-time cracked screen replacement within the first six months of ownership.
The company will also make an unspecified "commitment to future software innovation", and will throw in a remote content storage and backup service.
HTC Americas has also committed to upgrade the HTC One mini and HTC One max to Android OS version KitKat in the coming months.
Ed Kuhner, vice president, customer experience, HTC Americas said, "Keeping customers happy is something we believe a premium product maker should do, so we commit to continually listening to our customers and developing new, innovative solutions based on customer feedback and addressing their pain points over time -- that's the HTC Advantage."
According to the statement from the company, the free replacement screen and remote content storage applies only to new purchases of the smartphones.
