Canadian telco, Bell has announced significant decreases in its mobile roaming prices for consumers travelling to Cuba, including reductions in the cost of data, voice and text roaming.
Bell has also introduced convenient Travel Data Passes that offer usage monitoring and alerts, and can be purchased before or during travel using the Bell Mobility self-serve app.
"We are pleased to add Cuba to the growing list of countries where we've significantly lowered the cost of mobile roaming for Canadian consumers." said Wade Oosterman, President of Bell Mobility.
Starting tomorrow, February 11, consumers travelling to Cuba can buy mobile data usage from 60 cents per MB, voice calling for 50 cents a minute, and texts for 15 cents each. Customers who want only voice and text can now purchase 60 minutes of voice and text messaging (unlimited incoming and 200 sent texts) for $45.
Pay-per-use wireless roaming in Cuba is now billed at $2 a minute for voice and $8 per MB of data, a cost reduction of up to 50%.
