Nokia is targeting UK businesses with offers of loans of its smartphones so that they can try them out.
With the majority of businesses operating in a Microsoft environment, Nokia is hoping that the speed of tying its Windows Phone based smartphones into the office system will prove appealing.
"The Nokia Lumia product range is the obvious choice for businesses looking to optimise their mobile strategy in a cost-effective way," said Adrian Williams, director of business sales, UK & Ireland at Nokia. "Each phone connects to employees' SharePoint, Lync, SkyDrive, Outlook and Office already in use, so they can pick up the work they started in the office right where they left it."
Nokia said that its UK B2B market share has grown from 5% to 12% in the last 12 months, representing over 30% volume growth quarter on quarter. Working towards increasing its enterprise presence in 2014, Nokia has invested in its channel partners and introduced a variety of programmes to encourage big enterprises, as well as SMBs and public sector companies to make the change.
The #LumiaBizTrial campaign follows up from the the "Lumia Built for Business. Designed for Life." media campaign, which took place from October to December 2013 and resulted in significant demand and a10 percent growth.
