NSN Wins Saudi Network Upgrade Contract

Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN) says that it has been awarded a network upgrade contract by Saudi Arabia's Mobily (Etihad Etisalat).
For this, the operator has selected NSN's Single RAN (radio access network) and services, including refarming of the GSM 900MHz band for the 3G network.
NSN will upgrade Mobily's 2G, 3G (WCDMA) and TD-LTE networks in the central region including Riyadh, the largest city in the country.
"We have been providing managed services for the operator since 2011, ensuring optimum network performance, and are also committed to helping the operator in its customer experience management." said Muawieh Abdel Rahman, head of Mobily KSA customer team at NSN.
Financial terms for the latest contract were not disclosed.
