Swedish PrePay Distributor Goes Electronic

The Irish alphyra group has been appointed as an electronic service provider by one of the largest distributors of prepaid paper vouchers in the Swedish market, Tele Jack i Stockholm. Under the agreement, alphyra, who currently delivers its prepaid solutions on behalf of Sweden's largest operator, Telia, will now gain access to the remaining two cellular operators in the Swedish market; Comviq and Vodafone, together with the Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNOs) Tango and djuice.

alphyra will retain ownership and control over the host computer and terminal network infrastructure while Tele Jack will co-ordinate the electronic conversion of their 3,500 merchants across Sweden. The conversion, from the existing voucher based solution to the electronic solution provided by alphyra will be deployed on both physical and virtual terminals. alphyra & Telejack will work together to both extend this reach and jointly deliver more products to retailers across the electronic infrastructure.

Tele Jack is a distributor of mobile telephones, original accessories and cash cards in the Swedish market. They currently distribute to approximately 3,500 merchants covering all the major urban centres across Sweden.'"
