Kyrgyz Government to Help Telecom Firm

The Kyrgyz government is ready to help Kyrgyztelekom invest in broadband mobile communications and in digital and internet protocol TV Prime Minister Jantoro Satybaldiyev said during a January 15 cabinet session on the company's situation according to the government press office.
The government is ready to act after past plans to build up the firm came to nothing, he said.
The firm has had poor financial results and dilapidated infrastructure, its board chairman, Almazbek Kadyrkulov, said.
Laws governing its operations will be refined as well, he said.
