Ericsson Wins Jordanian Network Upgrade Contract
Published on: 15th Jan 2014
Ericsson says that it has won a network upgrade contract from Orange in Jordan.
In a statement, Ericsson said that as part of the agreement, it will upgrade Orange Jordan's existing packet core and renew its radio access network with new base stations. The company did not say what the rest of the contract entailed.
Beyond that, and a lot of filler about "sustainable solutions", "connectivity experience" and the "environmental impact", no meaningful information was provided about the size of the contract.
Ericsson added that it has been the sole provider for Orange Jordan's network for more than 13 years.
