Motorola Mobility is planning to expand sales of its flagship smartphone the Moto X outside of the USA into Europe.
Citing a company statement, the Financial Times reported that sales will start in the UK, France and Germany. The expansion of sales of the flagship model builds on the previous global release of its cheaper Moto G handset last year.
The Moto X is notable for being assembled in the USA, and can be customised by the consumer on demand, although it appears that the bulk of sales in the USA are of the standard model.
The phone will go on sale in the UK on the 1st February for £380 without a
contract. Release dates and prices for the other two countries was not available.
