A dispute over sending a text message in a cinema resulted in a retired policeman shooting the phone user.

According to local media reports, Chad and Nicole Oulson were at the cinema in a Florida town and sitting in front of the retired policeman, Curtis Reeves, 71 with his wife.

There seems to have been a dispute over the use of the phone during the film screening, and Reeves is said to have left the cinema. Upon his return shortly afterwards, the dispute resumed, and at that point, he pulled out a gun and shot the couple.
