Samsung Updates its Camera-Android Combo

Published on:

Samsung has shown off an update to its Galaxy Camera an upmarket camera that happens to have an Android OS based smartphone built in to the back.

The Galaxy Camera 2 includes an upgraded 1.6GHz Quad Core processor and an enhanced battery life (2000mAh).

The Galaxy Camera 2 comes with a 16.3 megapixel BSI CMOS Sensor and 21-times Optical Zoom, supported by 2 GB of RAM. The internal memory is supplemented with the pre-loaded Dropbox app, which provides 50GB of free cloud storage for up to two years.

The connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi.

However, unlike the more professional cameras, it does not support RAW file format, which is usually essential for serious use.
