Pakistan's telecoms regulator the PTA has instructed the mobile networks to scrap a recently introduced call set up charge that they apply to every voice call made by subscribers.
The country's mobile operators imposed call-setup charges of Rs. 0.10+ tax on each call last week and posted notice on their website about imposition of new charges.
The PTA said in a statement that it has instructed the mobile networks to implement the order without "causing any discomfort to the mobile phone subscribers".
