Roshan Opens a Centralised Network Operations Center
Published on: 23rd Dec 2013
Afghanistan's Roshan has announced the opening of its new Network Operations Center (NOC).
A first in Afghanistan, the NOC enables Roshan to monitor the nation-wide network in real-time to proactively identify network issues.
The NOC marks the next step in the technological evolution of Roshan's network. By centralizing network monitoring from 13 regional monitoring systems previously into one system now, the NOC aims to improve Roshan's response time when resolving network issues. Additionally, the NOC will allow Roshan to continuously perform 'health-checks' across the network, and proactively prevent problems from arising.
"We are delighted to open the country's first Network Operations Center, an innovative capability in an emerging market such as Afghanistan," said Karim Khoja, Roshan's Chief Executive Officer. "The NOC embodies Roshan's long-term investment in Afghanistan, and builds on our market-leading reputation for offering customers the country's highest-quality network and unsurpassed customer service."
The NOC is part of the nearly $600 million Roshan has invested in its network in Afghanistan to date.
