Alcatel-Lucent Wins Two Chinese LTE Deployment Contracts

Alcatel Lucent says that it has won a contract to supply nearly 10 000 LTE base stations to China Telecom as part of its 4G trial network.
Alcatel-Lucent said that it is one of the top three suppliers for its network infrastructure operating in both the LTE TDD and FDD modes.
The contract, for an unspecified financial amount covers deployments in 12 of China's 22 provinces.
Michel Combes, CEO of Alcatel-Lucent described the contract as "a significant win for Alcatel-Lucent, underlining the relevance and popularity of our LTE convergence strategy."
