Sony Mobile to Expand Smartphone Production in Brazil

Sony Mobile has announced a partnership with Taiwan's Arima Communications to produce smartphones in Brazil.
The agreement is part of the Japanese company's plan to increase its production capacity in the country from 2014.
Until now, Sony Mobile handsets have been assembled in Brazil by Taiwan's Foxconn, who is understood to have retained its existing contract.
The company did not disclose details on production volumes expected.
