Mongolia's government has agreed to a cooperation agreement with South Korea's KT Corp to deploy a LTE network in the country.

Following a cabinet meeting last Friday, the government authorized the Information, Communications Technology and Post Authority and State Property Committee (SPC) to sign the agreement.

KT Corp bought 40 percent of the landline operator, Mongolia Telecom in 1995. Just under 5.6% of the shares are listed, and the rest remains held by the government.
