The Serbian government has been unable to agree on the terms of the long planned privatisation of the state owned telco, Telekom Srbija. The sale had been expected to take place this September.
The government is struggling to secure an agreement on the sale as it is a coalition made up of nationalists, socialists and technocrats.
The sale of the company had been expected to raise around EUR2 billion for the government, which is fighting a rising deficit in its own financing.
The Minister of Economy and Finance, Mlađan Dinkić said that the privatisation programme, which affects a wide range of companies should be resolved by the end of next June.
