Postage Stamps to Celebrate the Touchscreen Smartphone
Published on: 26th Apr 2013
The touchscreen smartphone has made it onto a postage stamp as the South Korean postal service has launched a range of stamps to celebrate the ICT industry.
The four commemorative stamps are themed along the lines of wireless communications, postal communications, broadcasting and general scientific development.
The stamp depicting the posting a letter may seem obvious for a postal service, but it overlooks the impact that that huge ICT development, the email has had on postal services around the world that have seen declining rates of letters being sent.
At least the email icon is present in the smartphone stamp though - they didn't quite censor it out of existence.
