Nigeria's telecoms regulator has lifted the sales promotions ban on three of the country's four largest mobile networks that it imposed last November.
The ban had been imposed on MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat due to failures to meet the regulator's Quality of Service benchmarks.
Only Airtel, Glo and Etisalat have been reprieved though.
NCC Director of Public Affairs, Mr Tony Ojobo told the News Agency of Nigeria that the lifting of the ban was because the three companies had met QoS standards for last December, the most recent date test data is available for.
The ban was not lifted from MTN as it reportedly failed the tests. MTN recently restated that it is working to improve the quality of its network performance following repeated complaints from customers.
