Google Offers One-Finger Zoom on Smartphone Maps App
Published on: 1st Apr 2013
A user has discovered a recent upgrade to Google's maps service for Apple's iPhone that makes it easier to use single handed a single finger zoom function.
To perform a one-hand zoom simply double tap on your map and, after the second tap, leave your finger pressed. You can then move your finger up and down to zoom in/ zoom out.
The person who discovered the trick, Carl Sednaoui said on his blog that he would like to see Apple implement that in their own maps, and other mobile app developers as well.
As noted in the blog post comments, the facility also works on Android
