Alcatel Verifies 3PPP Compliance
Alcatel has selected Tektronix to confirm that its UMTS infrastructure is compliant with the Third-Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards. Using Tektronix ' Net Tek YBT250 BTS field tool and K1297-G20 protocol tester, Alcatel has said that the UMTS Radio transmissions for all its demonstrations at the occasion of the 3GSM WC are fully 3GPP compliant, up and running at 64 Kbits/s in circuit switched and running at 384 Kbits/s in Packet mode.
