Nokia Siemens Networks Picks Up German LTE Contract
Published on:
Nokia Siemens Networks says that it has won an LTE deployment contract from Germany's E-Plus, using its 1800Mhz spectrum.
NSN will also modernize and expand the E-Plus GSM and HSPA+ networks. The agreement between the two companies covers the delivery and integration of the operator's mobile access network.
Under the contract, Nokia Siemens Networks will expand E-Plus' current HSPA+ capacity in the 2100 MHz band while modernizing its GSM network. Nokia Siemens Networks will also expand the capabilities of its NetAct network management system and deliver various services such as installation and integration, network optimization and build.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Last week, ZTE also said that it was taking a more substantial role in the E-Plus LTE network expansion, and would be the "primary partner" for the network.
