Nokia Siemens Networks Wins LTE Deployment Contract in Guam

­Nokia Siemens Networks says that it s has been selected by DoCoMo Pacific as the sole supplier for an end-to-end LTE networ on the U.S. territory of Guam.

The LTE deployment is an extension of Nokia Siemens Networks' existing relationship with DoCoMo Pacific. Nokia Siemens Networks implemented the operator's GSM/EDGE network, the 3G network and, most recently, the HSPA+ upgrade in 2011.

Nokia Siemens Networks implemented its Single Radio Access Network (RAN) solution with Flexi Multiradio Base Stations. As part of the contract, Nokia Siemens Networks also upgraded its NetAct network management system to enable consolidated and effective monitoring, management and optimization of DoCoMo Pacific's network across all radio technologies.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
