Don't Blink - Windows Phone App Captures Photos Without Blinking
Published on:
Microsoft has developed a mobile app that alters how the camera function works in order to try and bypass the problem of people habitually blinking just as a photo is about to be taken.
With the appropriately named Blink app, once launched, it captures a burst of images before the user has even pressed the shutter, and continues to capture pictures after they've taken their photo.
Then, the user has a gallery of photos to select the best - non blink afflicted photo from.
However, as Nokia's own official blog noted, the software works in a way that means that photo resolution is lowered from the theoretical maximum the camera can take.
If the app proves popular, then it may be included in future upgrades to the Windows Phone OS, or even be included in the much rumoured launch of the 41-megapixel EOS model.
