Twitter Raises Age Limits for its Vine Video Service
Published on:
Twitter's looping 6-second video service, Vine has received a number of updates since its much-discussed launch, and has also been forced to raise the recommended age-limit of users.
When launched, the service was rated as suitable for people aged 13 and above, but following a spate of adult content video clips, the company has changed the service as being suitable for people aged at least 17 years.
However, the age control is voluntary and involves nothing more than the user clicking a buton to confirm they are old enough to use the service.
The 6-second video clip service has also added video sharing options, which were curiously missing from the launch.
The also added a user blocking and reporting function so that moderators can check the content.
