GPS Glitch Showing Up One House As a Phone Thief Maniac

A glitch that is affecting some Sprint Nextel handsets is causing them to all report the same physical location if they are stolen - the home of a man in North Las Vegas.
For the past two years the 59-year-old home owner has been visited by people and the police determined to recover their mobile phone - which they are convinced the GPS signal is claiming is inside his building.
Company officials told the Las Vegas Review Journal that they are researching the problem, which has now resulted in Dobson sleeping near his front door on weekends so he can answer the door quickly at all hours.
"It's a hell of a problem," he said. "It would be nice to be able to get a good night's sleep."
He has now put up a sign on the entrance to try and advise people that he doesn't have their phone before they start banging on his door.
Although the problem can be looked at humorously from some perspectives, it has raised concerns about the accuracy of the phone location facility used by the emergency services, and whether other glitches like this exist but have not been detected yet.
