Sony Mobile is expected to be jumping on the bandwagon for larger screens on its smartphones with the launch of a range of 5 inch models later this month.
Citing Chinese news reports, the Xperia Blog reported that the phones will be shown off at a press event during the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The Sony C660X (codename Yuga), to be known as the Xperia Z, and the Sony C650X (codename Odin) are both likely to be shown off by the company.
Specifications for both smartphones are reported to include a 5-inch 1080p display, 13 megapixel camera, 2GB RAM, APQ8064 Snapdragon chipset with 1.5GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 320 graphics.
The Yuga will be the premium model and will include a water/dust resistant case..
