Eagle Mobile Readies for 3G Launch Next Month

Albania's Albtelecom has announced that its mobile subsidiary, Eagle Mobile is close to launching its 3G network.
The company said that the network has been deployed ready for Dual-Carrier HSPA+ services offering theoretical peak download rates of up to 42Mbps.
According to Mr. Murat Cakmak, Director of ALBtelecom and Eagle Mobile network, the Dual Carrier technology is getting extended throughout Albania in a way that every user shall benefit from this technology.
The 3G service is due to launch at an unspecified date in January 2013, with coverage initially in the capital, Tirane, and within a few months, it will be expanded throughout Albania.
